Help Tend the Welty Garden!

Dig into history and care for the literary roots of Eudora Welty’s storied garden. Guided by staff, volunteers assist with weeding, planting, and other garden tasks to help preserve this historic space.

Join Our Garden Volunteer Program

When:

Every Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., rain or shine.

Second Saturdays of each month (weather permitting), 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Where: Eudora Welty House & Garden, 1119 Pinehurst Street, Jackson, MS 39202. Sign-in under the arbor upon arrival.

What to Expect:

Weekly and monthly tasks change and are sent out ahead of time via our volunteer email list.

No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
