Live Jazz in the Welty Garden returns on Thursday, October 22, 2026! We are delighted to welcome back the MC Jazz Band, along with the Soul City Swingers, for this beloved annual event.
We’re grateful to MC Jazz Band director Wayne Linehan and his students, who have brought their music to the Welty House each fall since 2019. We’re also excited to have the Soul City Swingers join this year’s lineup following their standout performance at the Thacker Mountain Radio Hour live recording in June.
The grounds will open at 5 p.m., with performances beginning at 5:30. This event is free and open to the public, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Urban Foxes will be on-site offering a selection of treats and beverages.
