Join us Saturday, February 12 (one day after Mississippi's official "Arbor Day"), for a free, family-friendly event on the Welty lawn from noon to 4 p.m. The Mississippi Forestry Commission will provide a selection of native trees to give away to visitors (including red oak, the central tree in the Welty lawn). All-ages coloring sheets, scavenger hunts, and name-games interpreting significant trees in the Welty garden will be provided, along with complimentary cups of hot apple cider.
