2026 Welty Teachers’ CEU Workshop | Eudora Welty and the Great Depression
Educators are invited to register for the 2026 Welty Teachers’ CEU Workshop, held in person on Friday, February 27 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Eudora Welty House & Garden. This year’s program, “Eudora Welty & the Great Depression,” will explore Welty’s life and work in the context of the 1930s through presentations, discussion, and site-based learning.
Registration is $10 and includes light refreshments and lunch. Participants will also receive behind-the-scenes access to the Welty Collection at the William F. Winter Archives and History Building, as well as a guided tour of the Depression-era galleries in the Museum of Mississippi History.
The workshop concludes at 2 p.m. and offers .5 CEU credits from Millsaps College upon completion. Registration is required, as capacity is limited.
