Celebrate Eudora’s 117th birthday with us!
The festivities begin Friday, April 17 with free tours of the Welty House, free cupcakes on the Side Porch, and free crafts in the Visitor Center all day.
The Welty Birthday Bash continues Saturday, April 18 with all that, plus Welty era records spinning from 12 – 4 p.m. with DJ Tyler Tadlock, typewriter poetry from 1 – 3 p.m. with As Told by S.I.R., and caricature sketches from 2 – 4 p.m. with Joe McKeever.
Tour times on Friday are 9 & 11 a.m. and 1 & 3 p.m., and on Saturday, we’re offering an exclusive members-only tour at 11 a.m. led by Eudora’s niece, Mary Alice Welty White.
