Join us on Thursday, November 13 for an evening of storytelling and a film screening inspired by Eudora Welty’s many afternoons of shared stories over a glass of bourbon on her side porch.
This event is free and open to the public. The evening begins with an open-mic–style conversation featuring Suzanne Marrs and Mary Alice Welty White, followed by a screening of Amy and Anthony Thaxton’s documentary Eudora. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the film screening.
Popcorn and lemonade will be provided, and bourbon will be available for purchase.
The grounds open at 5:30 p.m., the discussion begins around 5:50 p.m., and the film screening starts at 6 p.m.
