An old-fashioned black Corona typewriter sits with a sheet of paper loaded into it. On the paper, the text reads: 'Write In Space at the Eudora Welty House & Garden. Saturdays in November between 1-4 p.m. FREE and open to all writers.' Above the paper, the NaNoWriMo logo is displayed with a Viking helmet, crossed pencils, a laptop, and books, alongside the words 'NaNoWriMo' in bold brown letters, all set against a light green background.

Every Saturday in November | 1–4 p.m.

Join us at the historic Eudora Welty House & Garden every Saturday afternoon this November for a cozy, inspiring writing space as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)!

Whether you're aiming to finish your first novel or simply looking for a quiet spot to write, our museum offers the perfect setting to let your creativity flourish. Write in the same surroundings that inspired Eudora Welty’s own work, including her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Optimist’s Daughter. Our writing room offers plenty of space, outlets to charge your laptop, and free coffee and snacks to keep you fueled. You’re also welcome to step out into the beautiful garden for fresh air and inspiration.

This program is free and open to all writers of any experience level. Come connect with fellow writers and let the historic beauty of the Eudora Welty House & Garden spark your imagination.
