Are you enchanted by old-fashioned camellias, like Eudora Welty? Join us at noon on Thursday, November 14, when Paige Mizell returns for a camellia talk and flash sale. Paige will share historical facts and care tips, and take questions. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to shop a selection of old-fashioned camellias from her family's Folsom, Louisiana-based nursery until plants are sold. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Eudora Welty Foundation.
Paige Mizell is president of the Southeast Louisiana Nursery Association. Mizell learned to care for plants as a child growing up around her family's nursery, Mizell Camellia Hill Nursery in Folsom, Louisiana, where she has officially worked since 2014. In addition, the former high school educator and coach and has earned a Ph.D. in applied clinical psychology.
