Writer’s Studio: A Collaboration with the Jackson State Writers Alliance
Throughout November, the Eudora Welty House & Garden, in collaboration with the Jackson State Writers Alliance, will host an in-person Writer’s Studio—a free, welcoming space for writers of all levels to create in the same environment that inspired Eudora Welty’s imagination.
The studio will be open in the Visitors Center Gallery and Welty Garden on the following Saturdays:
November 1, 8, 15, and 22 | 12:30–4 p.m. Participants are invited to bring their own projects to work on, connect with fellow writers, and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks in a supportive literary community.
The series will conclude with a Writer’s Salon in the Welty Garden on Saturday, November 22, where participants can share their work and hear from special guest author Addie Citchens, who will be in conversation with JSU Creative Writing Professor Danielle Littlefield at 2 p.m. Citchens will discuss her early writing career, share publishing insights, and offer advice for writers at every stage of their practice.
