Tours will be free on Friday, April 11, as we kick off the celebration of Eudora Welty’s 116th birthday!
Tour capacity is limited, so we recommend emailing info@eudoraweltyhouse.com to reserve a spot.
Guests can also enjoy complimentary cupcakes and lemonade on the side porch and create their own wearable button pins using historic photographs of Welty and other scrapbook materials in the Visitor Center all day!
In the afternoon, S.I.R. will be on-site crafting live typewriter poetry from 1 to 3 p.m., while local DJ Tyler Tadlock spins a selection of Welty’s favorite records from 2 to 4 p.m.
