A group of patrons gathers behind the Eudora Welty House & Garden to purchase plants at the annual plant sale.

Join us in April to support the continued preservation of the historic Welty garden and add a special piece of history to your own. The Cereus Weeder garden volunteers propagate plants from Welty’s garden for purchase during our plant sale, many of which are no longer commonly available in nurseries—including fragrant butterfly ginger, heirloom day lilies, and irises. In addition to Welty garden propagates, hard-to-find heirloom shrubs, annuals, and perennials featured in the Welty garden are also sourced for purchase. Masks and social distancing are required on site. This program is in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation. For details, images, and descriptions of plants featured in this year's sale, follow us on Facebook or Instagram. For more information call 601-353-7762 or email info@eudoraweltyhouse.com.
