Join us for a special Garden Storytime: A Celebration of Friendship & Poetry on Thursday, February 6, at 4 p.m., featuring performances by the McWillie Elementary Performing Arts Students.

This free, family-friendly event celebrates friendship through songs, poetry, and the beauty of the camellias in bloom. As a part of our monthlong Friendship in Bloom program, this unique performance honors the creative and inspiring relationships in Eudora Welty’s life through the power of words.

The event will take place on the Eudora Welty Side Porch and Garden, weather permitting. Light refreshments and take-and-make activities will be available, making it a perfect opportunity for families, educators, and poetry enthusiasts to enjoy an afternoon surrounded by blooms that symbolized connection and joy in Welty’s life.
