Ward will discuss how her experiences growing up in DeLisle, a Gulf Coast Mississippi town, continue to shape her writing, particularly in her latest novel, Let Us Descend.

Presented as part of the Eudora Welty International Conference, this special event is free and open to the public and held in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation and the Millsaps College Visiting Writers Series. A reception will follow.

In case of rain, the lecture will be held at McMullan Lecture Hall in the Christian Center at Millsaps College.
