Join us to celebrate what would have been Eudora Welty's 115th birthday. Festivities for this two-day event begin Friday, April 12, and continue on Saturday, April 13. On both days, tours of Welty's home will be free during regular tour times (9 & 11 a.m. and 1 & 3 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and 1 & 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13). Reservations are recommended, as capacity is limited. Email info@eudoraweltyhouse.com to book a reservation.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12
9 A.M TO 4 P.M.
Enjoy complementary lemonade, cupcakes, and crafts on the side porch. A make-and-take wearable button-pin craft station will be available for guests of all ages throughout the day.
AT 2 P.M.
Music from Welty's era will again fill the air on the side porch as local DJ Tyler Tadlock spins records from 2 to 3 p.m.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13
10 A.M. TO 1 P.M.
Honor Eudora Welty on her birthday by helping tend her garden! EWHG Historic Garden Assistant Jess Stein will lead a "Birthday Edition" volunteer day in the Welty Garden. Volunteers may come and go at their convenience within this window. Registration is encouraged, but not required; walk-ups will be warmly welcomed. To register, email info@eudoraweltyhouse.com. Note that this event takes place only in the Welty Garden; the Visitor Center and Welty House will open as usual at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
