White Imura camellia japonica with long yellow stamens and large, oval, dark-green leaves in Eudora Welty's camellia room garden

Take a guided camellia walk through the Welty garden with camellia expert Paige Mizell from 11:30 to noon on Thursday, February 24. Following the tour, guests may purchase heirloom camellias from Paige at an afternoon flash sale that will last until plants are sold or until 4 p.m., whichever comes first (come early!). Paige will have hand-selected these hard-to-find varieties from her family nursery, Mizell Camellia Hill Nursery in Folsom, Louisiana. A portion of these camellia sales will benefit the Eudora Welty Foundation.

The camellia walk is free and open to the public. No registration necessary. If you miss the flash sale, more of Paige's heirloom camellias will be available at our annual plant sale on Saturday, March 26, at 9 a.m.
